I do have Yellow Lollipop and love it.
Thats fabulous Moby. I have a small bunch of 3 I planted last spring.
Dare I hope?
Wish I would just leave the derned things alone so they would clump beautifully like yours. Mine stand little single little soldiers throughout my yard. Just gotta' tinker...
Just gorgeous. Night pictures are the best to show off the blooms without distractions.
Teresa and Moby, yours are also gorgeous.
Mstella, you planted yours a reasonable distance apart, they way you are supposed to do, and it's probably healthy for the plants. Ours are in close proximity for lack of room. Lots are in containers. Your asiatics will most certainly be filling in, first as little squirts, then as mature stems.
Well, for better or worse, they ain't moving again. I have daylilies, with bearded iris in front, then regular lilies in front of them all circling a small slopped hillock only about 10 feet across. I had a garden 'expert' come take a look last year just to get an opinion and she said that I had too much of the same leaf structure. So I added some Campanula and Purple Dome aster to the rear and scattered some poppy seeds amongst the whole tribe. Should be interesting.
I'm sure it will be lovely.
All flowers are beautiful no matter where they grow.
jm, I love your leopard lily. Do you get little bubblets on those lilies?
:(
How about seed pods? I want some of them! Added them to my wish list!
tony9779, Just beautiful!
I'll bet it smells heavenly.
any new pics?
Moby, I love the picture of your Royal Sunset lilys but what's the name of the daylily in front? Very pretty!
That daylily is Iona Sassy Sarah.
Isn't it hard to get a good pic of Summer Night?! It really isn't that red, but the color sure comes out when the sun shines on it. :)
Wonderful lilies!
Love that combo! I can grow that in one of my containers and it'll be gorgeous! Which rudbeckia is it?
The Rudbeckia is a self-seeded cross. The collar color kind of resembles the 'Denver Diasy". Other than Cherry Brandy, I've not planted any new named varieties in garden for some years. The yearly manifestation always yields strange combinations of varietial characteristics. Cherokee Sunset, Chim Chiminee, and Prairie Sun were the original stock.
Here's an interesting example:
Wow, I didn't know they did that. I took all of my Denver Daisies out last year. I should have let them set seed and grow again this year. I had no idea they changed from year to year. That's a really awesome rudbeckia.
I'm jealous! My lilies are still buds. I will post when they are in bloom. I was just sitting outside and wondering why they are not in full bloom. Maybe because I'm closer to the lake than the rest of you that are in zone 5?
I love the combination jmorth.
