Homeria Bulbs.

I am looking for these bulbs. seems the only place that sells them anymore is california. I had a few my gran gave me and do not know what happened to them. I am looking to find a few more. Does anyone know a source or have any to trade thanks Marie

do you mean Homeria flaccida (cape tulip) ?


darn, hit send before i finished. or do you mean the painted homeria? different genus altogether, i think Moraea, anyway, annies annuals sells this one

When looking for this plant, keep in mind that it's now included in the Moraea genus so could be listed under that name instead of Homeria. Take a look here for info and photos: http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/Homeria

Here in California, the Jim Duggan Flower Nursery will have Homerias available in June. Most bulb nurseries will only ship South African bulbs when they are dormant, which is in the summer.
