What's Looking Good in Your Yard/Garden?

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9b)

I'll start with poppies and garlic.......

The Lady Banks hedge is really going off...........

Butch built that ramp up to the hot tub deck for the little dog Maggie. Her legs are so short, and body so long, she could not do the steps that he originally designed. So he went back to the drawing board and built her a ramp. Thought you folks would like that story......and could relate. ;-)

Yeah yeah, we need to cover the under-deck with lattice. One of these days!

Mary, what is that great looking twisted vine behind the poppies and garlic in the first photo?

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9b)

Sharon, that is a saguaro skeleton. A small one. Courtesy of MickeyAZ on one of our rock gathering extravaganzas.

Thanks Judy, we got that tub in a screaming deal from some very good friends. :-)

Looking good Rodica. ogrejelly, I just love all the colors in your side yard. Rodica I especially like the clematis. Mine is coming in gang busters with the vine and leaves, no sign of buds yet.

Freesia, one of my favorites... They smell like Fruit Loops when I walk out the front door - lol. Started with a couple bulbs I just stuck in the ground a few years back and now there are several...

In several colors...

Only thing I hate is they fall over like the Glads do. Every year I tell myself I'll stake them somehow then it's too late...

Oxalis from Lynn... I have a white one that hides in the pink one and peeps out occasionally.

Osteospermum I think these are called? I have yellow ones too...

More of them with some Nasties and Virginian Stock... the Stock smells heavenly. I see a CA Poppy leaf in there. Guess they reseeded - lol.

You want Nasties? I think I have them in every color - lol. Covered them all during the freeze...

I apparently planted a couple different varieties of climbers and didn't realize. Now they are trying to climb the block wall and across the concrete in the back yard - lol.

One more unusual Nastie - my hands are getting tired;o)

Wow! What is that flower Dete? Very nice.

Kelly, I love alll your pics, great splashes of color. To help the glads stand up you could use some of this edging stuff. I have lots of the green hoopy looking stuff, you're welcome to a bunch of them. I place these to keep the cat(s) from scratching around my plants. Dang cats!!!

Here's pretty decortive edger:

Got a better pic of the beet bonanza:

And I'm growing celery alongside the beets. Celery deters a pest.....just don't remember which one(s) right now. It's very tasty, although the plants are young and don't really have true celery growing, the stems and leaves a good to nibble. Especially with a bloody mary. ;-)

One more.....I've been trying to capture a good pic of this little bunch of bright flowers, from one of my earlier seed balls....but no picture really shows it off for some reason. I need a troll statue to live under that stump, doncha think?
