I am searching for some kind of vine or climber that I can plant in front of my house, and I am considering using plants only native to my area. But, how do I find out what plants are native? Where would you turn? Who can I ask?
Thanks!
How to find plants native to my area?
One source would be your local chapter of the California Native Plant Society. There are also nurseries in the SF Bay Area which are well known for growing native plants.

excellent, thank you!
You're very welcome. In case you haven't found it yet, the East Bay Chapter of CNPS has a nursery up in Tilden Park that sells natives. It's called Natives Here: http://ebcnps.org/index.php/nativehere_nursery/
