Have a very good day, Birthday Gal! Ric
Happy Birthday Gita!
Happy birthday, Gita. Hope it's the beginng of a really good year.
Thank you all!
I thought no one would check the Birthday list....
Felt kind of "forgotten".....Sorry! I get sentimental....
I know some of you would remember or check to see....
I did not do anything super special. Went to the Timmonium "Home and Garden"Show...
Of course--Radeboughs Florists had a double-sized booth.
They are SOOO famous in this area. I worked for them one Spring Season...long ago!
Funny story to share----
When I wen there for am interview to be hired --late 1980's---I said to the Owner---
"I CAN LIFT A BAG OF MULCH!!!! trying to impress him (Joey)...
They hired me for ONLY the Spring Season --and I knew it.....BUT--I never forgot them--
and they NEVER forgot me!
So-There as Joey--now many years ago--and I sneaked up to him and said--
"I can lift a bag of Mulch" and he turned around and said--"HI! Gita"...
It has been the late 80's that I worked them for ONLY a Spring Season---Ant theyu have NEVER
forgotten me!!!!
THAT is the sign of a RELAY caring Employer!!! 30 years have passed--and they still
know your name and care about you.
As it was also my Birthday last Saturday he said to me to just go and pick out any plant
I wanted as my Birthday gift. So--I came home with a beautiful Rieger Begonia as my gift.
Love these kind of people!!!!! Gita
Happy Birthday, Gita!!
Sally--
Well---it WAS on the 5th--Saturday--so add a day to those couple of hours....
What is that gorgeous flower you posted? Is it Milkweed?
Thanks again to you all. Now I feel better......
Hugs, Gita
Gita , Can't think of a better Birthday message for you than you've already received and I hope each day of this year that you are reminded that you Gita Gal are fondly regarded by so many and that includes me!
Geee! Thanks, Judy! I so appreciate your sentiments.....
You almost made me tear up!
To me--like on all my past Birthdays--it is JUST another day! No celebration.
You all, on DG, make it just so much more special....
Gita.....:o)
oh, my bad!
That flower grew in San Antonio and I have no recollection of the name. Sure is striking though!
