Grasmussen, how far was this Waxwing from the camera? Lovely shot that!

If I hang a suet cage with Hot Pepper Suet in it on the tree, will the woodpeckers come more often?

Lakeview, OH

Sorry it's so dark, but I think you can see it is a Robin! First one I have seen this year, I guess I can put this my book of Lifers! Could have gotten a closer pic, but my battery went kerflooey!

Burn, so cute a Chickadee, hg isn't great Eagles are making a come-back? We've a nest nearby I haven't been over the nesting site a couple of week, I need to go back there and see how big the Eaglets haved grown. Garry gorgeous Bohemian Waxwing, what kind of berries are those? Teddy, you may have an Eastern Blue Bird there, though I can't be sure.

We have a Cottonwood tree out front which attracts a lot of ants, will that help with the woodpeckers?

Marlton, NJ

Hi Teddy, Yes they will come if you hang the hot pepper suet in the tree (as soon as they see it.).

I might be wrong but that looks like a Robin in your photo.

Hugger, That last shot is nice!!

Gary, Great colors on the Waxwing!

I thought of modifying the upside down feeder, I thought of putting something between the feeder and the shepherds hook stem for the Pileated Woodpeckers to rest their tail on as they eat. Everyone keeps telling me about the Hot Pepper Suet cakes and how great they are, but unfortunately I can't get that right now, so I have to make do with what I got. I was thinking a wooden board, but I can't think of how to fasten it to the feeder. Advice would be helpful.
