What's on my citrus?

These little buggers have really been attacking my pummelo. What is it?

Cucumber beatle. They like eating flowers and new growth on fruit trees and veggies. I have never seen one on my citrus.

They can really strip down a budding tree but tend to go after the veggies more so when they start to come up. I usually have a problem with them for a month with the trees and then they switch to veggies.

Thanks Lee. They really chewed up the new leaves and are having a hayday with the flowers. Any suggestions? Will they prevent fruiting?

The previous year the stamen and stigmas appeared to be intact. Some people just take the vaccuum cleaner out there and suck them up for a few days. You can also plant more desirable plants nearby and they will go to them. Head out to Home Depot and pick up some Cucumber plants and let them eat that instead.

Here is a link to companion planting that just started the other day.

Great ideas! Thanks. Thanks, too for the companion planting link. Will be watching and learning!
