I showed that to my 9th grade biology students, quite an interesting example of symbiosis.

That is super cool. I put it up on my facebook page. I know I have frogs and lizards that live in my carnivorous plants -- frogs in the Nepenthes and lizards in the Sarracenia.

Wow Star that is truely cool. I hope I am that lucky one day. never seen any of the geckos around my house near or in any of my pitcher plants.

Yeah frogs are know to live in them and spiders like making webs over there mouths to get the bugs before the pitchers. Not sure if this would be robbing the plant of food but i always get rid of the spiders.

I have seen the spiders in mine but nothing else so far.

I leave the spiders too. I figure they are dropping extras and droppings and benefit the plants. Pretty smart that the spidersfigure this out. I see it with lynx spiders.
