A note from starsplitter7: |
"I live on the border between 9a and 9b in Florida. 4 years ago I found a Nepenthes ventrata at a flea market and fell in love. I now have about 100 carnivorous plants, 40 or 50 species including Sarracenia, Nepenthes, Drosera (my favorite), Pinguicula, Utricularia, Australian Pitcher and flytraps. I am fan of pygmy and forked sundews. I grow all these plants outside, except for my butterworts, woolly sundews and highland Nepenthes.
I also like succulents. Anything with an unusal shape or color. I like to plant seeds of fruits and vegetables I eat to see if they will grow. This year I am planning my first ever vegetable garden.
I am an avid fishkeeper with ten tanks with aquatic plants. These are far from planted tanks though. The plants are provided for my fish's pleasure -- they eat, sleep in and play with the plants. :)" |
