spear pull on rhapidophyllum hystrix (needle palm)

I planted a dozen small needle palms back in Nov, and yesterday on my walkabout I pulled the spear out of 3 of them. Just wondering if needle palms can survive this.

They can as long as severe cold and tap water doesn't damage their buds further. Apply some sort of antifungal down in the hole and just wait.

Will do, palmbob. BTW, I think my pindos (butia capitata) with crown rot are going to outgrow it. I'm treating them with daconil, per your recommendation. Thank you!
