Right--but I haven't seen it as yet. Takes awhile & they carry so much, I suspect pictures will be their newer plants. We will see.

It's a start, though. I'm so glad they are finally getting on the internet.

Mshadow, how long have you lived in Houghton Lake?

Hustisford, WI(Zone 5a)

I just got Schreiner's catalog! This is the catalog that got me interested in Iris a couple of years ago. ~j

South Hamilton, MA

yea! for tall bearded irises they produce quite a goodly number as well as they carry some other people's plant in addition to their own. I like their 'County cork' which has a greenish tint to the yellow areas.

Houghton Lake, MI(Zone 4b)

Mstella, I have lived just outside of Houghton Lake since 1998.

(Mary) Anchorage, AK(Zone 4b)

Schreiner's is my favorite also. bought a ton of Iris from them before I found out how to keep them from rotting here. Still working on it. Each year gets better but I just cringe when I think how much ($$) I lost in my initial enthusiasm.

MShadow: I used to own 10 acres on Firetower Hill years ago. My husband was born in West Branch and grew up on Houghton Lake. His dad owned Snyder's drugstore. Long gone. Aunt Roberta lived right on the lake (west side I think). They are all gone now. but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the lake.

Hope this brings back memories for you.

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

my Schreiner's catalog came today!

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I don't know why but last year every time I tried to pull up Interstellar Gardens wherever I ended up was sort of laid out oddly and more for view than ordering but this year when I tried looking at them, there is an actual site with pricing, photos and how to order instructions for both iris and daylilies.

I really think that along with Kasperek, Burseen has some of the best names for his iris:)

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

think I'll look at that link instead of the catalog......for a few minutes anyway!

Philadelphia, PA(Zone 6b)

Malevil catalog arrived last night!

Ellinwood, KS(Zone 5b)

Does anyone know if Brad and Kathy Kasparek still grow and sell iris? I bougt some brokens in 2009 from Zebra Gardens. Love their flowers. We have tried to email them with no reply, and saw their website was closed for sales in 2010. ????

Lebanon, OR

The rumor mill is not this year either both not in the greatest health

Pleasant Grove, UT

I'm not certain if Kasperaks are opening this year. They did not have an ad in the recent iris journal. I judged 2 flower shows last Sept at the Utah State Fair. Kathy was the chair. She said they are having health issues and didn't open last year because the state of Utah was thinking about taking some of their land [seedling beds] for highway improvement. I had hoped to see them at our recent Region Meeting but they weren't there. They have to travel quite a distance and it was snowing that day. I remember when they first started attending our Utah Iris Societies auctions when they were just catching the bug. They certainly made their mark. Think they have won all major awards except a Dykes

They have 2 prices for 'Radient Garb' The 40$ one sounds like the correct price for a 2010 intro.
