I checked in on the Burpee seed site and they have a way to estimate your indoor sowing dates geared to your zone and the flowers you want to grow. I checked on petunias, cosmos and one other. If you sow seeds indoor this can be very helpful and take some of the guess work out.

That's it Sally if you look at a certain seed like petunia the graft will show the aprox sowing time and the last frost date. That will be very helpful, along with my own notes.
