Water Feature fom an old planter insert

North Fork, CA(Zone 7b)

Hi,
I found this old planter insert in the trash on our old street and didn't know what to do with it for the longest time. Then when building a short retaining wall at the edge of the patio, I found the it could be built in. I used some old erosion rock, or river rock to stack up another wall.

Along with my stone cat and a small recirculating pump, the smallest one, it makes a serene place to sit on the patio in the summer. I take out the pump in winter. I'm glad to have found a use for it.

Before I moved to the country, I scrounged on trash day every week. True confession.
