Whoops....Transplanting in Zone 6b

West Chester, PA(Zone 6b)

I would like to move some Oriental and Asiatic Lilies now. As I said I live in zone 6b.....Is it really too late? We have not had freezing temps. yet, mid to high 30's in pm. All this week it is around 60 in the day time. I would apprecitate any feed back, please!
Thanks, Terri

I planted lilies in Mid Nov. I dont see any harm in moving them.
I am not an expert by any means ,it just seems logical.

Lilies have been arriving here for the last few weeks via online nurseries so I'd guess it's ideal to plant them now or move them now. I hope so because I've been moving them for the last two weeks!

Don't add mulch until the ground has frozen!

Thank you for the adivise. I think I will go ahead.... weather has been so nice the last week here on the east coast....just want to be outside as long as possible. Enjoy your Lilies!!!

This weather has been too good to be true!

I'll be planting more lilies today.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Lilies can be planted as long as the ground is workable. Particularly if you're only relocating them, if you can keep the soil intact around the roots then you'd never know they were moved. FYI ~ I've planted lilies after Christmas.
