nut tree

Danasplants I see you like to barbeque. We do not do it outside anymore but this is good for inside too. The site is http://barrelno51.com/ and there are several different sauces and rubs there to try. We discontinued cooking outside because there are stairs between the kitchen and the patio and it is increasingly difficult for us old folks to manage it - especially 5 or 6 trips.
I have read that Henry Lauders Walking Stick is really a nut tree but I do not know the Latin name for it. I have been considering planting a nut tree of some kind but I need to know all about it first - we have a small yard and also we do not want a tree that requires a lot of attention - or cleaning up either.

HLWS is a contorted filbert and not used as producing tree - just decorative.
