My daughter loves these tall and thin palms. This picture was taken in Anaheim, CA. I've seen them in my area too, but not too often. What type of palm are these?

Impossible to tell from that photo. Without a closer photo you'll need someone who can physically see them close up to id them. But, going by the size they could be Washingtonia filifera or perhaps Washingtonia robusta.

My guess is Washintonia robutas. They get tall and skinny when they grow up.
