ID help please

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Can anyone identify this vine and tell me what good it is? :-)) It is super agressive, puts out long runners and also puts out underground roots that go EVERYWHERE! They sprout yards away from the original. They were here when I bought the house and I don't know what they are. They don't have any flowers, they just keep growing and I keep cutting them back!

Looks like a trumpet vine-campsis radicans. These have beautiful red flowers when old enough. I am not sure how one encourages bloom. These trumpet vines grow wild around Louisiana, winding up tall trees. We see them in full bloom right now. Hummingbirds love them. There are cultivars or hybrids that have sherbet and yellow flowers, too.

they arent so prone to flowering when trimmed, but the roots go on forever- everywhere.
