This little guy just has us laughing all the time!

This shot reminds of one of those weighted toys that tip up and down....

Nice grouping to start a new page, nanny. Yep, she looks like one of those bobbing toys, I remember those too...lol

Uncle, that must be cool seeing so many at once. We don't have but 1 on any feeder at a given time. One girl is continuously guarding the feeders and immediately swoops down on on intruders. We've seen the lone male a few more times, easy to spot since his back is much darker.

I liked the big pics too, Hack, and being able to see fine details. These days the bigger the pic, the better on my eyesight...lol

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

awww, cute start Nanny!

No pictures, but you'll all be happy that I've had a daily visitor it seems for the past couple of weeks. I had another (or the same) adult male here just a while ago. Can't seem to get a picture though.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I think/hope they may have finally found you!!

or early migration?

Sandusky, OH

Nice shots nanny! Just a short time left to enjoy the hummer's here. Last year mine were gone on Sept. 2nd so about 3 week's. Only managed one shot today before work. This was a juvenile male...he had one little ruby feather on his throat.

Nice shots Nanny and Burd. Thanks for the new thread Nanny!

We still have lots of Hummers but it is so miserably hot that haven't taken too many pics...but will share a few that I have.

Here is a mature male.

On second thought the juvenile male may be an adult molting male.

Here is a mature female.

Burd...your little guy would be a Juvie or female since it has the white tips on the tail feathers.

Here's another female.

I cropped this from a group shot.

Nice shots dellrose!! Thanks for the info on the juvenile. Noted! ;)

Nice Rose and Burd!

We were gone all day yesterday...with FIL having major surgery. But so far today I have not seen the mature male that had taken over the front feeder and perched in the birch tree all the time. The juvies and female sare busy tho!

Form earlier this week....this mature male is soooo tiny!

So pretty burn!! I have had no luck with plant shots...been to hot to go out and sit & wait!

Burn, your hummer is beautiful with the fuschia blooms.

Nanny, that's quite a bright red on your little guy-cute.

Pelle, love that angle. Are those fuschia blooms too?

Marlton, NJ

Hi Duc, Thanks those are Honeysuckle.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Very cool Pelle!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Pelle, you're an artist!
Burn, those flower pics are gorgeous.
What a gorgeous throat your little guy has Nanny.

DEFINITELY MIGRATING. I haven't had hummers all summer and then today, two male fighting over the feeder.

Unfortunately, there was heavy cloud cover, so pics aren't great, but I'm excited that they are back!

Oh Hack...love that last one!

Had a bad thing happen but then it turned good yesterday.

We had one slam into the sliding door and there it was laying on the deck...I thought OMG it is dead. But then I saw its eyes moving and he twitched a little. I went out and picked the poor little guy(juvie male) up. I wanted to comfort him if he wasn't going to survive.

I held it about a minute and then he got in a perched position and took off. He landed not very far for another minute or so and then took off. I really hope he was/is okay.

It was so cool to have that tiny little guy in my hand....like holding air, I told my DH!

Columbus, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks nanny, hope your little guy is okay.

Hack
