Is there a good vine that blooms in the shade? Maybe something evergreen? I have a little fence (short, about 4-1/2 feet tall) with nothing on it.
shade vine
Oh, yes! Sweet autumn clematis - fragrant, blooms a long time and stays evergreen - LOVE this vine!
and it likes shade?
Yes - I have two vines - one in afternoon sun and one in total shade - they are both beginning to bloom now.
wonderful! We have a little of that growing wild on the property and maybe we can transplant some of it to the empty fence.
It's easy to transplant - just be sure to get all the big tap root you can, and keep it moist for a couple of weeks until it roots into the soil.
thanks so much!
Keep us posted on how the transplant goes and if you wish, post pics, so we can admire it's beauty!
