I thought I had it labelled but obviously I don't. I try hard to record what I have but the vagaries of time seem to be doing me in.
Fred
is there hope to ID this palm?
Looks a lot like Licuala grandis, but mine don't have big spikes like those. Livistonas generally do. Can't think which one other than L. rotundifolia, but the leaflets are usually a bit more divided than that.
I'm going to try to ID this palm at the place I bought it. They should know. Somewhere in my pile I'm sure I have an invoice too but finding it is another matter.
Let us know when you do. I curious to know exactly what it is. Has that "Licuala look" about it, but the only Licualas with spines like that I know of are L. spinosa and L. ramsayi, and their leaves are completely/mostly divided.
Definitely either a Licuala grandis or possibly a Licuala peltata var. 'elegans' (which it looks very much like).
