And now on to Mid-America Garden. Unfortunately the day we picked to visit was NOT a good day, as it had been raining heavily before we arrived and we were having to do battle with mud. Most of our pictures were taken of seedlings, but I would not feel right about posting anyone's seedlings without permission so I'll proceed with what little we have. Here is my favorite of the new Mid-America 2010 introductions, which I had to wallow through mud up a little hill to get to, so please forgive the flower condition as those poor little guys had really been through it!

And my feet as I was taking these pictures -- this is why I have no more pictures of their introductions from their garden, as I kept getting stuck in the mud. But the next day we dropped by the Iris Show in Brooks and got a few more pictures, although our cameras were having a hard time focusing in the dim light.

And last, but certainly not least, INK PATTERNS by Thomas Johnson from two or three years ago. This is one of my very favorite irises because of the fabulous clumps. I think it's an amazing iris!

And our last stop was Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden in Vancouver, Washington.

CHIANTI CLASSIC again, this time taken with my camera (the other was taken with my sister's). This just shows how different the same flower colors can be when shot from two different cameras (both Nikon's)! And I believe the true color was somewhere in between, of course...

So that's it for now-- We also went to Schreiner's, but I'll save that for another time when I feel the need for more iris bloom pictures and can go through my tons of pictures. I took so many pictures there and they had fabulous clumps, but I'm not sure if I even got any pictures of their new introductions.

Oh yes, and one more shot of Marky Smith's BB JAGUAR, which I actually took at Keith Keppel's and really shows off the brilliant colors even though the flower is not in the best shape.

I'll take one of each! THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely breathtaking! I especially love the Keppel and Ghio flowers. They are the kind I really love, with all the ruffles and fullness!

Haunted Heart I was not going to order from either the description or the picture as I do not think many pictures will capture its true beauty...I did order and am pleased I did.
