bumps on pecan tree leaves

Houston, TX(Zone 8b)

Does anyone know what this is? It has since disappeared from my pecan tree (couldn't find my camera after I took the photos a month ago) and doesn't seem to have done any serious harm. The leaves just have small dark marks on them, now. When I first saw it, I thought my soil might be radioactive! I've never seen anything so strange. It looked like little tomatoes had been shot through the leaves. I'll post more photos...

I am going to go with Pecan phylloxera....I have no experience with it though and could be incorrect :-)

By George, I believe you're right! Looks like I'll be spraying with dormant oil next winter. Thank you!
