My annual milkweed was just getting ready to blooom. The red was showing on the flowers. Next day or so, they wilted and looked as if something had eaten through the stem just below the flowers, just enough for it to fall over and wilt. The rest of the plant has not been affected as far as I can see. Does anyone know what could have done this? And how I can prevent it from happening again?
