I've got some pretties to share :-) This first alphabetical set is from the week of Memorial Day.
Anna Nicole - edited to say, woops! That's not the pretty one, I'll try again, doh!

Some from across the country, in Southern California
I've always eyed Porcelain Doll and you're the first person I've seen who grows it. What kind of bloomer is she? Have you had her long enough to see the colors change in the different seasons?
Great pictures...nice to see such a variety :-)
Nice photos and lots of them. I had written "Blue Book" down previously so its nice to see that one in your collection.
Oh my gosh, Jon. You would love Blue Book. It's not a real prolific bloomer, at least here, but the flowers are just so large, dark and beautiful.
Well, I've had Porcelain Doll for two years, but last year it had a major bug problem and I cut it way back - didn't even know if it would survive. This year so far, the plant looks very healthy and has been putting out regular blooms. The first year it was a fairly prolific bloomer as well.
The bloom color changes a bit from morning to evening. In the morning, it's really kind of see through and pale (kinda hard to describe), with the afternoon seeing the colors brighter. I really like this cultivar, although it's hard to photograph, and I'm so glad it's back this year :-)
Wow!
What a beautiful collection!! I'm just starting a collection of my own. I was wondering about your Fantasy Charm. Is it a nice bloomer? How is the bush? I was considering purchasing one when I placed an order yesterday for 4 plants, but it got so expensive (now that I see yours I am really bummed that I didn't). How long have you been at this hobby? I'm Kristen by the way. It was nice to see your collection. Hopefully next year, when my tiny plants grow big and strong, I can show you my blooms. If they all survive I will have Cindy's Heart, Saffron, Cajun Blue, City Slicker, Gabriel, Voodoo Magic, Fifth Dimension, Tiger's Eye, The Path, & Black Dragon. Maybe we can make cutting trades.
Thanks for the show of blooms!
Fantasy Charm is a wonderfully strong bush with nice upright flowers; also, the flowers are quite large! It's not my most prolific bloomer, but it is also not my worst. Definitely enough blooms to keep the plant though - if you're tempted (not that I'm an enabler, at all, lol), I would go ahead and get it, it's really lovely.
I've been doing this for about 6 years and have around 250 hibiscus, all in containers.
You'll be surprised how quickly, and on what a small plant, that blooms will be produced :-) I always love seeing hibiscus, no matter the size!
Wow! That's a lot of plants! Do you pollinate them? Make cuttings and sell? Trade? Do you have Bella du Jour (my favorite)? How big do you allow them to get if they are all in containers? I always had the boring red variety from the box stores, and never cut back, so they got so big. If I can keep my 10 somewhat small, then I can make them happy through the winter. When do you prune them? Should I do it once a year before I bring them in for the winter? Sorry for the question barrage, just a newbie at this hobby.
Thanks for talking.
