Can anyone identify the red lumps which seem to be growing on the leaf surface of my peach tree. If so what is the treatment. I am also suffering an attack of leaf curl (taphrina deformans) or are the red lumps related to this fungal problem?
Red fungus(?) on peach tree leaves
Your peach tree has peach leaf curl which can take on that red color on parts of the upper leaf surface. At this point in time, there is nothing you can do other than to remove, bag and discard all the infected leaves. Fertilize it and it should produce a new crop of healthy leaves. This fall after the leaves have fallen off, start a spray program for peach leaf curl. There are several good products on the market. If you plan to buy buy more peach trees, get some varieties that are more resistant to the fungus
Many thanks for the advice.
