I'm looking for suggestions for annuals or perennials that would serve as good accent plants for the gate.
To the right of the gate is full sun. To the left, it's border-line full/pt. sun (Maple shades the area in early morning and again briefly around noon). The bed is about 2x5' wide and each panel is about 8' between posts. In the section between the gate and the first pyramid obelisk to the right I'm planning on planting some blue bachelor's buttons and orange African daisies.
Ideally the plants that I pot on either side of the gate would fit into a a 2-2.5 square foot spot immediately to the left and right of the walk way and be between 18-36" tall.
