I am not sure where the best place for this question is as I searched for grapes and didn't find anything
So, as a potential project I was considering buying a few acres to plant grape vines for wine making in 5-10 years. I will have the time to manage the property and the vines, but am not sure what to plant.
To make wine the vines will need to perform well for the area. Maybe a vine from the Niagara region would work, but I want to make sure the choice I make is acclimated to the area.
So, I am looking for suggestions on types of grapes that would make for good red and white wine making.

There's a guy in Latrobe that has a very small, personal vineyard. I'm wondering if he could answer your questions. I could try to find the mailing address if you are interested.
