Buddha's Hand

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

I finally had one nearly ripe when there was a flower show..... It won for "most unusual fruit." Does anyone know what I can do with it now? I read somewhere that in Thailand they make citron vodka and liqueurs. I do have some Austin-brewed Tito's vodka, but I'm wondering if there's anything else you can do with these?

I have mine in a bowl on the table, makes the whole room smell like citrus.

Can't you grate the peel for the zest? like a lemon

Maybe I picked it too soon, but mine didn't have much of a citrus smell. At least, not enough to make a room smell like citrus.
I decided to take it to the garden club mtg and give it to someone who'd been wanting to try one in drinks.
