Phils vs Yanks - game 6
I see a high scoring game with neither starter lasting too long. Yanks will close it out.
Somehow I just knew this thread would draw you, Vic!!!
Two great teams battling it out!!!
I'm so excited I can't spell.

Let's get it started!!
Hee hee! I'll also go out on a limb and predict that Teixeira and Howard will continue to stink!
I hope the Yankees finish it off today so that I don't have to sit thru a nail biter at a later date. I've been wearing Yankee t shirts for about 60+ years starting when my dad used to take me to Yankee Stadium to see Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto and etc.
LOL, Time will tell!
And I was a Dodger Fan!!!
Wow - those are well-made t-shirts, roses! ^_^
My dad was a NY Giants fan.
Shucks!!!!
I can believe the high scoring part, LOTS of great batters, and probably some sloppy fielding.
It was great hearing Charlie Manuel talk about Chase Utley and Kirby Puckett the other day.
Good Job!!!
Yo Pedro!!
Whew.....
Can o' corn
LOL
At least he's been meeting wood on his last 4 at bats!
Victor, I missed that NY Giants one! LOL
Phooey!
Matsui!!!
NY Giants? Isn't that football?
Ha ha, claypa!
The Yanks missed Matsui's bat in Philly. He, Jeter and Damon have provided all the offense.
We've missed Howard & Stears.......
Matsui must have had a good meal tonight!
Yes - he's feasting on Pedro!
Can you believe they had a pitcher conference after one pitch?!! No wonder these games take 4 1/2 hours.
Meetings are a NY specialty!
But it was the Phillies who did it!
I know.....That's just to show we know we're allowed to do it too.
Matsui is worth his pay.
Finally!!!!!
'Bout time, Howard.
I wonder if Matsui is eligible for world series MVP, being a designated hitter. I know Molitor won it in '93, maybe it's only if you beat the Phillies? Too early to say, though.
LOL!!
I'd say Matsui is the favorite to win it.
This game is pitiful.
It's not over yet!!
My motto:anybody but the Yankees! I need Utley's bat to wake up tonight....even if it means he hits in some unearned runs. Go Phillies!
My feelings have always been this way, based on the Yankees payroll...hardly an even playing field (no pun intended). The ego combined in the Yankee lineup is enough to warrant a barf bag. Lol.
Honest enough? Still fun to watch...not over til it's over right?
Ha ha! Many teams spend big bucks these days - and have nothing to show for it.
Magnolialover, Many people feel as you do, but here in Philly, for the most part we admire and respect our NYC neighbors even if they can buy the world.
Not as many bucks as the Yankees have. I can't imagine the pressure those guys are under everyday though. The Yankees offered Sabbathia 33% or more money, the Brewers had no chance keeping him. Most players go to the highest bidder and I can't think of the last time the Yankees lost out on the bid war.
