I have recently dug up and potted some baby robees and they seem to be doing well in my green house. There is very bright in-direct light this time of year here in cental fla.
Is it o.k. to keep them here or do they need direct sun, like the mother plant??
baby robees
nice coleus under them...what are robees?
Phoenix/Roebelenii--pygmy date palm--
we call them robees (row-bees) down here
sounds cool!...what do you do with them?
thats why I came to this thread with the question--
pygmy date palm is a cycad
this is the palm and cycad thread--right??
lol sorry blonde moment...I meant how did you get so many?
I'd say if they were shaded under something then the green house should be fine...Where's Dave when I need him...he's waaaaay better at these than anybody
They are palm trees, not Cycads, and dioecious ones, male/female, do not water the crown, only the soil, water sparingly, they need some direct light, use fungicide once a month, if you keep them in a greenhouse, provide excellent ventilation, good luck, Ed
I'd like to see one bigger...they look neat
thnaks, Ed
will take pics tomarrow...
cool I can't wait to see them
