Prolonged Visitor, Re-potting palms

Oak Hill, FL(Zone 9b)

I was sitting in the sun, breaking up coco peat coir, for use in re-potting my Hyophorbe v., and this mosquito hawk, (dragon fly, if your from up north), was using the rim of this 5 gallon bucket as a perch to catch other flying insects, it must have been a n ideal site, cause it would fly up, and catch one, then come right back down, and sit there, chew it up, and then spy for another, this went on for 15 minutes or so, 18 inches in front of me, finally I got up went in grabbed my shureshot, and sat back down, and took two dozen photos or so, Ed

That"s funny? What I have heard called mosquito hawks, actually look like mosquito's just a lot bigger. But they don't bite. Though I don't know if they actually eat mosquito's. We have dragon and damsel flies also. Never heard em called mosquito hawks. Cool pics! It must have been quite a show!
