Palm Identification #2

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Me again! lol

DH and I found this little palm at a local nursery. It was off all by itself, and I'm not sure what it is....it sure is sharp! lol

Thanks so much for any help. :)

might be a Chamaerops... can you get a closer photo of the leaves and petioles?

Well, I have to say, I'm still not 100% sure... could be a Brahea, like edulis. But it sill looks a lot like a Chamaerops. See if it suckers or not... if it doesn't sucker, it's probably a Brahea species.

I've got a whole mess of these that once looked
exactly like that: Med Fan Palms
which is I believe is the Chamaerops
PalmBob suggests.

Every one of them suckered out in the ground, and
for some reason even the sophisticated nursery that
had them marked down couldn't say what they were.

It looks like my European Fan Palm.

Looks like a Windmill to me.

looks like my still unidentified palm...I bought 2 one a cushan and one a fan but I don't remember which one was which

Windmills' fronds are joined together further up closer to the ends of the points.

nor do windmills have teeth on the petioles anything like those of this palm... looks very typical of a Mediterranean Fan Palm

Mediterranean and European Fan Palms are the same - Chamaerops Humilis. And they have terrible thorns!
