Plant from Walmart needs ID

Victoria,, BC(Zone 8b)

I lurk here a lot ! I am totally into tropicals but as I live in B.C. Canada, I do not have the same choices. I found this plant at our local Walmart - can anyone identify it for me ? Some kind of EE ?

It might be Caladium pictum; a non-hybrid species.

I'd name it, as in a name, not type, Party!

Great plant, what fun!

Thanks for your help! Metro - a caladium makes sense now that I look at it.
"Party" sounds like a good name - it looks like a fun plant, Molamola !

I'd agree, definitely looks like a caladium. There's a lot of variety in them.

To me, that looks like a young specimen of the plant being called 'Hilo Beauty'. Most places they call it Alocasia but in my book there is no way it can be an Alocasia. Caladium is much closer to what it looks like, but it stays up all year and hasn't been observed blooming.

Aloha Heatherbelle, glad you joined us!

Aloha LariAnn, I think the plant you referenced is a dead ringer!

You guys ROCK ! I actually got two of them (if one plant is good then two has got to be better, right ?) and at $4.99 each (even in cdn funds) I thought they were a real deal. So thank you all for your efforts and I am off to plant them outside for the summer in a shady spot.
If I am not pushing my luck - can anyone help me with this one ? I grew it from a seed I picked up at our local Butterfly World gardens.
