I just realized that i am posting a lot of plants that are perennial as well. Sorry--if I goofed!
However--all these are in bloom right now--and it IS summer---many of the pictures taken today.

--first of many blooms from a huge Amaryllis bulb Susan at work gifted me. More bloom buds coming.
planted it in my veggie bed--as I had some space left--unclaimed...
--A rust Mum in bloom. Do you believe it????
--Not in bloom yet--but soon. The wonderful, bronze/gold/maroon leaves on the K.K. Hibiscus.....
It is HUGE by now! Waiting for the dazzling show--any week now......
