Now I am starting my dream yard, a full cottage garden. You and I are so alike, I have no plan, I am sticking things where ever it suits and I know that in the end it will work. I love your daylilies and irises. I finally got my irises planted in an area by some side stairs where water tends to linger a bit. I have a couple from you that I got on that trip I made out your way. They have been languishing in pots and I hope that they will now thrive and maybe even flower. I have many starts from my DG friends, they are always my favorites. Just transplanted this heirloom, Chrysler Imperial, and it is very happy. My little Broom survived the drought in a pot and is now ready for summer. Maggie is always exploding with blooms. This little copper rain lily came up after our last rain a week ago. One corner near my gate has six or seven types of blanket flowers, horsemint, rudbeckias and others that come back year after year. |
