Yesterday we got the Grandsons and went to Wild Cat Den. Beautiful stone walls and a lot of up and down trails. The tree roots make wonderful natural steps. I went as a teenager with cousins and we took DD when she was little. It's just on the other side of Muscatine, which in itself is a 20 - 25 minute drive from here.

Marsue, I can still see the six acorn squash halves my Mom would pull out of the oven when I was a kid. I didn't like it then.

Pepper, that is a beautiful island to park beside! Love the stump!

Adina, no rain here for at least another week. I've been toting water to the astilbes. Beautiful Sedum!!
