JanetS - yes, these WJ's are smooth and have a soft sheen to the leaves. I'd be happy to send you a few cuttings. They are called 'Tradescantia Variegata".

Here's another variegated plant....a succulent called Aeonium arboreum variegatum labeled 'Love Struck'. The rosette pictured is about 10" across. The summer sun will intensify the color and bring out lots more pink.
