JanetS - yes, these WJ's are smooth and have a soft sheen to the leaves. I'd be happy to send you a few cuttings. They are called 'Tradescantia Variegata". Here's another variegated plant....a succulent called Aeonium arboreum variegatum labeled 'Love Struck'. The rosette pictured is about 10" across.
