It circled and circled for a long time--and then came down to my place to have a
quick lunch and then, I guess, took off for places unknown.
He really did circle many tines--but always landed back on my Aster.

In pic. #1 you can see his long proboscis sucking away on the yellow centers of the bloom.
I did not expect a Monarch this late in season....
