Deborah, that grass looks good, you can leave it in the ground in your zone. We had to pull most of mine out, it was taking over one bed and it was scaring me at how fast it was growing. Just like bamboo .

That fourth photo is an arvenis taking over the world if I let it. I was using it as turtle food for the sulcatas but now we only have box turtles so these arvenis are climbing and spreading just a little too much.
