Beautiful pics. While you have shared a lot,...it is time you respond to someone, somewhere, whoever on occasion,... who compliments your work and also the ones who respect your articles.

What a fantastic collection of succulents, palms and tropical plants. I especially loved your Hoyas.

I am a new gardener. We saw some heliconias in Bali Indonesia and would like to grow some in Long Beach CA. Any tips on how to take care of them? I was able to get H. schr...... Thanks a lot.

Heliconia schiediana is not difficult to grow and will do fine if in sun and given water. However, most other (not all) species are very tropical in their needs and will require some protection from the winter weather (like being in a greenhouse).
