Milaemerson May 11, 2013I am a new gardener. We saw some heliconias in Bali Indonesia and would like to grow some in Long Beach CA. Any tips on how to take care of them? I was able to get H. schr...... Thanks a lot.
palmbob May 12, 2013Heliconia schiediana is not difficult to grow and will do fine if in sun and given water. However, most other (not all) species are very tropical in their needs and will require some protection from the winter weather (like being in a greenhouse).
