Bernardo is an excellent source for drought tolerant plants of South and West Texas landscapes. Plants arrived well packed and just as expected.
I am from outside San Antonio and the garden centers in the area vary on quality here so more hard to find plants are best found online. I recommend Bernardo Beach as a source for these plants.

This company has a lot of unusual, difficult to find drought tolerant plants, as well as more "standard" xeric plants. The owner is a landscape architect, who has worked with these plants a lot, and what she sells in the store are the plants that have worked for her. Although the owner has never been there when I have been to the store, the plants are well labeled, and the person working there is familiar with the inventory and with xeric plant use. The retail outlet is in Albuquerque, but it is difficult to find, however it is definately worth looking for; this is the real thing. No credit cards.
