This excellent company carries a very sturdy velcro tape perfect for joining plant stems to stakes. Until I found The Strap Store through an internet search, I made do with the thin, flimsy tape sold at most garden centers, but it doesn't last through the elements of one season.
If you go to their website, look for "Back-to-Back" tape in 1/2" width, in green. It's perfect! They are a big company, but they will take your order for 1 roll. Now that I've been using it all over the garden, I'm ready to order two more.
