Excellent selection: I really liked that all the varieties that I wanted was on your website and costs of seed and shipping were very good. Shipping was very prompt. The only negative was some of the seed packets were a little light of seed. The seed amounts were clearly laid out upfront on the website, so it was not a surprise. But you can get 20 seeds in a packet for $3.00 or 600+ seeds in a ounce pack for $7.00. 20 seeds is too few and what am I going to do with 600 seeds? Seems like there should be a middle ground with a packet of maybe 50 seeds. Other than that, everything was perfect.

I have ordered from you twice now, and will probably order more when the Spring season arrives. I have always been pleased with your products and the services your website provides. The last time I ordered I received an email when the package shipped. This time I did not. That was a nice touch that I would have enjoyed receiving again. That would be my only minor complaint. The sipping was fast and the seeds I started are already sprouting. I have recommended your products to many of my friends.

Urban Farmer was a great find for me. They carry my favorite corn (Incredible) and have the best selection for cover crop seeds. I order from them consistently. They have great and speedy service and I love the discounts! I also like the growing guides when I'm trying something new.

Ordered several pepper and tomato varieties, was sent Roma tomatos instead of Big Jim peppers. I've sent 2 emails about them sending the wrong seeds, first email was over a week ago, still no response.

Their ordering system had a problem but they fixed it quickly and were pleasant to talk to. The order came fast and packaged well. I don't like their seed packages there is no planting information on them for the seeds in the package plus I like to see the picture of the plant or vegetable on the package. I will and would order from them again.

Great experience with this company. Order came quickly. Have already planted several seeds, have had great success,better then with other seeds I have purchased.

After having ordered a few times I can honestly say that all of my experiences have been positive. The prices are reasonable and delivery is prompt.

As soon as I received my seeds for spring planting, everything went well. I am an amateur, but germination rates seem to be as expected and the plants are growing happily. The company was very slow to ship at first, though, and I had to contact customer service repeatedly, which made me very nervous (even though the person I emailed was helpful and friendly). Since the seeds (and bareroot strawberries) have proved viable, I now think it’s a case of disorganization or lack of seasonal employees, not malice. I ordered wildflowers later and they shipped straightaway. Thus, my advice is to order a little early during busy seasons, though I don’t know for sure if that will help. Overall, I’d be happy to order again from them.

I have been buying seed and plants from Uf for well over a year now.
I am a small scale farm that only spends around $200-$500/mo through them.
The seeds have germinated well and I feel that these seeds have been as advertised. (very good experience)
The only good contact to UF is through the phone. Emails do not work if you need information, complaints, help.... you will not get a reply. (My biggest complaint!) (negative experience)
example: I wanted to ask them to seal their bulk seed bags better. Tried twice on their forum/email. I still have a 5 lbs of rutabaga seed pickup on this last months order floating around with my other seed packets in a card board box while taped up by USPS. ok, two things to complain about so only a neutral rating.
I still order seeds and fruits through them.

Sweet Potato slips were shipped on time for my area. I waited a couple extra days before unboxing them, so I had a bit of wilting, but followed the directions included, and slips are mostly recovered already.

I ordered nasturtium seeds and Yukon Gold starter potatoes. The order came very quickly and the merchandise was in excellent shape. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Urban Farmer Seeds stole one of my brand-labeled pictures of my Dark Green Armenian cucumber by cropping out my brand name. I have contacted them multiple times to request that they take my photo off of their site, but they have not. I have both called and emailed. I take pictures of my products because I actually grow them. As the picture they took from me was also listed with another picture of a different Armenian cucumber, I can only assume that they have never grown either cucumber variety or don't really know what they are trying to resell to others. I have a friend who is a lawyer. I'll be asking him how to proceed next.

The plant that I received (Issai Hardy Kiwi) was smaller than I expected; however, it was healthy and in due time, it has grown a bit. I will probably overwinter it in the larger pot that I transferred it to so it will be ready for Spring 2018 planting. Overall, I was pleased with this company and would consider ordering from them again.

I order garlic every year, this fall I tried Urban Farmer LLC. I was speechless at the order I received...they sell by weight of garlic and for less than 1 and 3.4lb they charged me $60.00 + $6.00+ in shipping. I weighed my 3 sacks of garlic on 2 different digital scales...they shorted me but still charged the full price. ONE head of garlic they charged me $10.00. I will never buy from them again, Peaceful Valley, Territorial Seeds and Johnny's all have better selection and much lower prices. If the ordered bulbs don't weigh what they're supposed to UB could have added extra cloves to make it right. I'm a senior gardener, have been gardening over 50 years, I cannot and will not ever order from a company like this.

I ordered only a few packets from Urban Farmer Seeds. Two packets were supposed to contain "+- 25 seeds." It only contained about 15, which I consider far to few than promised. Another packet failed to germinate at all.

I sent an email to Urban Farmer. They did not respond.

I received a customer satisfaction survey. In my response, I indicated the two problems I had with their seeds. Urban Farmer did not respond.

I called them and was not able to reach a live human being. I left a voice message with my cell phone number. They did not respond.

No customer service and failure to deliver what they promise. I do not recommend this company.

In August, I placed a web order for garlic bulbs. Sept. 19, I received email that 'everything is on schedule for your garlic to arrive in October'. There was also a smaller notation that my credit card would now be charged. So I waited.....
Now it's mid-November and still no garlic. I've emailed twice asking for a status, but haven't received any response. I won't be doing business with them again (actually, I suppose I didn't this time either....just donated money to them)

Great garden seed selection. Shipping was fast and customer service was great.

Among other things ordered Carolina Reaper.

Seeds arrived very quickly and everything appears to be in order! Always a good sign in my experience.

I am a little worried about the reaper seeds as I know a few people who have been duped for seeds (not from this seller).

Also on Pepper Joes website, he insists anything not from him or Smokin Ed, is fake. So not sure what to make of all that.

As this is my first experience with this seller I will have to find out.

So planting a couple now under my grow lights so I don't waste green house space next year, will keep updating!

This is my 3rd year ordering from Urban Seeds. I ordered last fall, received part of my order and waited for the spring shipping dates to get the rest (potatoes and horseradish). I contacted them by phone and 4 times by e-mail as I had not received my order by the normal planting time. I got no response until I mentioned I would report them to the Better Business Bureau. Then I got an instant response: "Don't know what happened with this order. Sorry for the inconvenience." So no purple potatoes or horseradish this year. Also zero sprouting of 250 fennel seeds. They did refund, but I am very leery to order again. I was refunded the money I had paid last fall.

I've ordered from this company 4 times, but my most recent order has yet to arrive and I'm struggling to get in touch with anyone. I placed my order on April 9 and contacted them on May 11 to ask for an update on when it would ship, and I was told it would ship "this week." It is now June 5 and I haven't heard or seen anything from them. I have emailed twice and called 6 times and can't get an update from anyone. If I don't hear back this week, I will change my review to a negative and take my business elsewhere.

I ordered some seeds and 6 Issai self-fertile kiwi plants on February 13, 2015. The seeds were received promptly. On May 2 I received 6 kiwi plants, 2 labeled male, and 2 labeled female with no cultivar name. Labels indicated that both male and female are needed for fruit. I tried to reach the company by phone, but a recorded message said the best way to reach them is via email. I emailed asking how to return the plants and requesting the correct Issai plants that I ordered. Since I did not get a prompt response, I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge to my card.

I emailed UF seeds and also tried calling them on SEVERAL occasions about my order without no success. I found emails this company uses and I successfully got a hold of them only for them to say out of product will ship promptly next week! Well they took my money knpwing they were out of the product! VERY DISHONEST and I will fill out a complaont with the BBB!

I have had numerous problems with the products I purchased from UF Seeds and on every occasion I contact them MANY TIMES. On one occasion they responded when I complained I hadn't received the seeds and they sent them.

I have never received an email or phone call regarding the problems: Giant red celery is green, Black cherry tomatoes never turn black, Ground cherry tomatoes don't germinate, Heirloom mix of tomatoes seem to have some wilt and rot disease, Parisian carrots look more like they come from Hoboken than Paris.

It is very frustrating. These guys seem to think customer service isn't part of their job. I've spent over $100 on seeds (potatoes and other seeds) and they treat me as if I don't exist.

I always buy seeds from this company. They only carry Non-GMO seed and it always germinates great for me! Will keep coming back.

This is a great company and love what they stand for. Seeds were great and sent fast. Will be using them in the future.

I ordered some wheatgrass seeds from ufseeds.com. None of the seeds germinated and when I contacted Noah at ufseeds.coom I got absolutely no response, after contacting via phone and email on three seperate occasions. I've filed a complaint with the bbb.org, but I dislike that I have to go that route to get a resolution. This was the first time I did business with ufseeds.com and it will be the last.

Not impressed, I ordered 3 different types of pepper seeds and had a 0% germination rate for all. Plus for the price you can get 3 times the amount of seeds by ordering through Burpee, who I am going through after this.

I ordered Utah Celery, Hailstone Radish, Cow Horn Okra and Red Pontiac potato seed from Urban Farmer seeds in 2012.

My order shipped very quickly and I received everything I had ordered. I was fairly impressed with their creativity concerning their use of recycled magazines for seed packets.

To be fair, if I had just ordered the Red Pontiac seed potato I would be giving a Positive comment instead of a neutral comment.

However, my Utah celery had a 0% germination rate, both indoor and outdoor. The "Cow Horn Okra" either was impure seed or improperly marked, as the okra that grew from the seed was most definately a "Star of David" type variety; short, fat okra that, when cut into cross-sections clearly looked like a star of david.

I never planted the Hailstone radish seed as I ran out of room. I do plan to try that packet this year as I have almost 2000 sq ft more than last year, Though I do expect a low germination rate since it is old seed.

The Red Pontiac seed grew amazingly. True to variety and huge yields; between 20-25 tubers per plant!!

I ordered the Seedless Sweet Tomato seed hybrid this year (2013) so I will see how that goes but for now all I can give is a neutral rating because I never contacted the company with my concerns.

I placed two separate orders from this company for strawberry plants as they were going to go to two different addresses. One was supposed to come with a hanging basket, and the other with a "grow bag". The order with the basket was for my little niece. Somehow, they got the orders confused, and they sent her the grow bag. I didn't get either the bag or the basket. After I contacted them about the mistake, I was told that they would fix it and not to worry because the plants are in hibernation. Well it's been close to four weeks since my order, I finally got my grow bag, but my niece still hasn't gotten her basket. I don't understand how they could have such trouble filling out simple orders.

I thought I would purchase from this company because they looked small and could use the business. However when the strawberry plants came, I noticed that they were from another wholesaler from a different state. This is something that bothers me as well. There was nothing on their website stating this.

I should have done my research and gone with a more reputable company. I could have gotten a far better birthday present for my niece that way.

I never place a large order without knowing more about the company. On 12/30/2010 I ordered a soil test kit via a promotion for them. When I inquired as to where my item was, I received an email :
Hi Kay,
It seems that we overlooked your order. Last week after filling orders we had an extra soil test kit set out but didn't know where it was suppose to be sent.
There are two options:
1. We have ordered more test kits and should have them in 1-2 weeks. We can ship yours out immediately once we get them back in stock.
or
2. We can send out a check refund today.
I'm very sorry about this, sometimes we make mistakes when fulfilling orders.

Since they would soon be restocked, I opted to wait. After several more emails, they tell me on 3/7 that it was in the mail as of that morning. Needless to say, I never received it! Very disappointed in their performance.

Received the seeds quickly and looking forward to getting them in the ground.
