I purchased 12 fruit trees from Best-Price-Plants.com aka Aaron's Farm aka Tytyga. 9 of the trees were adequate, but two were so badly grafted that the trees would never survive the weight of growing and fruiting with so wide an angle between the trunk and graft's growth. Also, I ordered a pear tree, and instead was sent either a peach or nectarine with no way of telling what variety it is. Trying to deal with best-price-plants customer service has been a living hell. I've sent numerous emails with pictures, and they claim they've never received them. They are also nearly impossible to get on the phone. I've had bad experiences with tytytga and Aaron's Farm before, and now they've expanded their numerous duplicitous fronts to include Best-Price-Plants. Stay away. Stay far away!

I purchased 8 bamboo plants 6’ root base from Aaron’s and I got what I ordered.
Second order 4 bamboo plants 6’ root base I got 2 good 6’ root base. I got 1 of a different type
bamboo but it did have the 6’ base so it was OK for me. The 4th plant was a piece of bamboo with a twig put in some dirt.
When I open the plastic wrapping the dirt came of and exposed just a base and twig.
I was told that I have to wait 6 months for this to grow . I can grow my own bamboo plants for free if I want to wait 6 month to grow roots. Why I would pay $25 plus shipment to this people?
I got no resolution from them. I called Paypal and they did not get a resolution with Aaron’s either so, Paypal told me to return the merchandise an I will get a full refund from Paypal.

I ordered two Asian pear trees from tytyga.com. One of the trees barely had any root (how can they ship a plant like that?! I should have returned it but I didn't). No doubt it didn't sprout. The other one finally sprouted a little in the summer (which is >2 months later than normal), but died eventually. Stay away from this company (although the low prices may be attracting, but you will regret)! Their one-year warranty policy is very annoying, too!

We have over 150 acres and have everything imaginable growing here. Everyone says I have a green thumb, but I had NO luck with Aaron Farm products. The plants have to be alive for me to be able to grow them. I wanted to plant a few extra things like English walnut and such and spent $84 for plants that I could tell were dead, not dormant like they claimed. I contacted them several times before getting through to anyone and was told I had to wait for the end of the growing season to make sure they did not grow. Also, they were not even near the height of trees that I purchased... Then since they were all dead like I knew they were, I had to fill out a form for replacements and I sent them another $21. They sent the replacements in December and they looked like dead sticks again, but I still planted them... I was right again since they were dead as sticks. I would NOT buy from them again ever. A friend gave me two tiny blueberry twigs about an inch tall and I laughed how tiny they were, but still planted them, and they GREW. So I would never buy from Aaron Farms again. I could have bought something nice elsewhere for that $105 I lost buying from them.

I am an experienced Gardener with a sizeable plot who has ordered close to 2500 online plants over the years. My bad experience actually goes back several years ago. But it was so bizarre, having just come across a youtube and hundreds of scam completes on these guys, I felt compelled to add mine...they apparently also go by Tyty and many other alias names. I actually ws interested in JuJube varieties and since they had numerous listings, contacted them to make an inquiry. They did not know me from Adam. I don't know what was going on there that day, but from the opening call, I was treated unbelievably rudely and could hear a guy laughing in the background. I had hardly said anything. Very strange. Thinking I had the wrong number and it was a random prank, I carefully dialed it again. Same thing. They did confirm it was a nursery. Likely the strangest call I have ever been on. Never forgot it. Of course, I hung up and never ordered. Pretty much forgot about it until I noticed a slew of complaints on line against these guys that are obvious scammers. Again, I felt compelled to simply add my thought here. Not to mention, their videos are quite strange...caveat emptor--buyer beware for sure !!

Mixed feelings but overall this has become a questionable seller.

I've ordered several times and know what to expect purchasing bare rootstock. However, when you ask and pay for OLDER rootstock you should ALWAYS be getting what you pay for --> That's not what you'll always get through this nursery so be careful.

My 1st order was good. Half of my vines on my second order were DOA as evident by them NOT coming up. A lot of work and care went into some 30 3-yr vines being planted and cared for with 50% results.

Returns are made difficult, keep everything from the shipping label, date of order, and all other receipts and invoices. Even so, they still may not help you.

They have some stupid form to fill out "requesting" a return authorization. A hassle. Still waiting (1 mo) for an answer. Expect to be paying additional postage to fix their issue/s.

Ordered many plants. 35 raspberries, pecan tree and two pink dogwood trees and a Japanese maple. The order was sent in late April early May. Maple was not dormant but was sent barefoot?! It expired. Pecan and dogwoods sent dormant, planted the day of arrival. It's now first week June pecan and dogwoods dead. 25 of 35 raspberries made it. Was horrified that I had to pay to ship back dead plant material for Aaron's to CONSIDER a refund! I would suggest finding plant material elsewhere. There are many good companies out there. I wish I had consulted Dave's Garden prior to ordering.

I ordered 10 berry bushes from AARONS FARMS and paid extra for mature bushes, a lot more and when they arrived it was clear to see if they were baby canes. I tried to get a refund but they did not even bother to respond to my complaints. They arrived in a small square box and bend off to a right angle to one side. The ten canes roots wrapped in cellophane. Four of the canes were not dormant. I have made a complaint to USDA. Will see if that does anything. We paid 160.00 dollars for about 50 dollars of plants and that is being generous. Rude and unresponsive customer service.

Ordered 2 pecan trees at tytyga.com in October for the surprisingly low price of $30/tree+ shipping on a pretty large tree. Called back in November to see when it would ship and was told it would be in 6-8 weeks when they went dormant. Emailed in December and got the response that they had lost all pre-thanksgiving orders due to a computer problem, and the only option for me was to reorder. Pricing on same trees now is 6x the original! I had a record of my confirmation from October so I emailed it and asked if they would honor the pricing. They wouldn't, but were gracious enough to tell me that I could get that price again after this year's shipping season was over..... Since then I have read several other comments with similar or worse stories. This place is a scam.

I ordered two trees from Aaron's. One did not grow. When I called the company I was told I needed the original shipping label to file a claim. I told them I did not have the label and I asked if they could send me a copy. NO. I told them I could send a copy of my credit card statement which lists this purchase as proof of my purchase. NO. I think Aaron's does everything it can to not honor their warranty.
Even if I had the label, I had to ship the entire tree, in tact, to Aaron's to get a replacement which I figure that boxing and shipping the tree would be about equal to the cost of the replacement tree.
When I placed my order, the man I talked to told me that all Aaron's tree were guaranteed. He certainly did not tell me how difficult it was to file a claim.

Buyers beware !!! Paid $75 in March for a Japanese magnolia tree which arrived DOA, small buds on tree dried up & dead & tried reviving to no effect. Per their replacement policy, you pay an extra $20 to get a replacement sometime this fall 6-9 months later which they probably hope you forget it about by then. Keep getting a run around when trying to talk to a Rep !!
So if I keep trying to get a replacement, it'll end up costing me $75+$20= $95 +$20 cost of sending back the dead tree = $115. Buy from a reliable nursery that a has FREE replacement policy !!!

I ordered blueberry bushes from Arron's in the fall of 2010.Then I called the next day to add some fig trees. My order had met the shipping requirements and wasn't due to be shipped for 2 weeks so they confirmed they could do this for me without an extra shipping charge. I did receive the blueberry stock at the designated time but no fig trees. When I called back they couldn't find any informatiion on the fig tree transaction (they didn't charge me for the fig trees) so I had to order again and they wouldn't waive the shipping costs even though it was their mistake so I had to place a minimum order again. I was assured they would ship in 2 weeks. That was at the end of Nov., I haven't received my order yet or a courtesy phone call explaining why. I'm not out any money but I sure won't do business with them again.

One plant not shipped but they charged me of course.
All were bare root and two REALLY looked old and dried out.
NONE looked to be 3 year old fruiting bushes, more like one year.
Would not return my calls or faxes.
As of now, only two plants are growing (not great but they are still alive). They are no where near 3 years old in my experience. The two dired up ones are DEAD and were dead when they shipped them in my opinion.
VERY UNHAPPY. I've filed complaints with the Georgia office of Consumer Affairs.

They came bare root but it looked like they were pulled out of the ground and not dug out. Of the 6 only two have taken. I read the guarantee and what a rip off. If you plant the trees, you void the guarantee. This is a catch 22, how will you know if the trees are viable if you don't plant them? But if you plant them you void the warrantee.

I should have checked with Dave before I bought.

On October 28, 2008 I ordered a Cherry Laurel Tree. I ordered the 7-8 foot tree which cost considerably more than the 6-7 foot tree. We already have a Cherry Laurel in our yard and wanted one to plant on the other side of the driveway. Well, we received the tree and were shocked that they would even send us such a pitiful tree. It wasn't even 6' tall, barely any roots (and not gelled to protect them) and a few little leaves that were droopy and looked near death already. Well, we went ahead and planted it but here it is May and there is absolutely no noticeable indication of buds or growth of any kind. I'm going to be out $99.75 because their process for returning a dead tree is ridiculous! I admit I was aware of the return policy, but had no reason to believe we wouldn't have a flourishing tree by now. We were thinking of cutting up the tree and sending it in a little box back to Aaron's Nursery but we don't want to spend another dime on it. This tree was doomed from the beginning and just want to say "buyer beware". Our other tree has been growing beautifully and is about 8 ft. tall, very full with lovely white blossoms in the Spring. Learned our lesson about buying trees online. Never, ever again!

On May 11th, 2009, bejay added the following:

Additionally, they tell you to inspect the package you receive from UPS or Fed Ex and refuse the order if it is not in good condition. Around here, those companies just drop off the package and don't wait for you to inspect it. If they had me sign for it, you can bet I would have inspected it before accepting delivery and would have rejected it and sent it back to Aaron's.

Last year, we were going to buy about $300 worth of fruit trees and a couple flowering trees from this place. We made a list of each and every tree and size and then gave them a call to place our order.

On their website at the time, they claimed that some of the trees were just now in or ready to sell, including several quince trees, but when we called, they didn't have any quince trees in stock. When we started listing other trees we wanted to order from them, the person on the phone said they didn't have any of the trees we had listed so far, despite it being in the early winter shipping season.

We got about halfway through the list of items we wanted to order from their website, and they just hung up on us. No one was rude to these people, despite them not having what we had wanted. I don't know if this company is just a drop shipper or what, but this isn't how you treat potential customers, even if you don't have any stock.
