I purchased 8 mail-order trees from TyTy back in 2013. I would like to show how they are doing after growing (or not) in my yard in south Texas over the last 6 years.
I have seen some awful reviews about TyTy, but personally I have encountered mixed performance.
The Pond Cypress and Sweetgum are doing great and have grown into reasonable-sized trees.

The American Sycamore started off well, growing fairly large, but the last few years most of its leaves turn brown and fall off by mid summer.

The River Birch has been struggling but is still hanging on.

The Tulip Tree hung on for a few years but eventually died, most likely due to my poorly drained clay soil.
The Blackgums (2 of them) arrived with almost no roots - the tap root had been sawn off very close to the base of the trunk - not surprisingly, they never leafed out.
The Shagbark Hickory also never leafed out.
So a mixed bag, but at least 2 out of 8 trees are still doing very well, and 2 more are hanging on.

Had a somewhat bad experience, should have checked here first. I did not get what I ordered. The tree had 2 labels, each said a different variety. The trees did look good and they were healthy. I might try again, but most likely will check out another option. L.G.

As an employee of Willis Orchard Co., I only write to make one very important and very strong clearification. Aaron's / Ty Ty Nursery have nothing, 100% nothing, to do with Willis Orchard Co. or Paradise Palm Co. The only thing they share is the State in which they reside. I know for a fact that the sole owner of Aaron's/TyTy hates them with a passion and tried his best to sue them out of business, but failed.
Also, Aaron's and TyTy are the same company in that they operate as one. Sell the same product from the same location by the same employees that work for the same owner. The companies compete with each other to capture your purchase but if you buy from one then you serve the other. However, Willis Orchard Co. and Paradise Palm Co. are not the same because they are two different web-entities that sell diffent products. They have the same owner but one site sells fruit trees and the other site sells palm trees, and they are not trying to hide this fact.
To anyone that would like further explaination or proof that there is no ties between us and Aaron's/TyTy, please do not hesitate to call our office and ask to speak to Shannon.

Went to order a quince from this nursery and unpleasantly surprised to find the following caption under the photo:

"Fresh Smyrna quince fruit is sold at the local market, after having been harvested from the Quince Trees. Buy yours from Ty Ty today!"

Given my past experience with Ty Ty, I'm suspicious this is the same group with just a new name.
