Comments regarding My Garden Gifts

BAD FAITH PRICING!!! I ordered their Sea Turtle Duet Sculpture with Seagrass which was on their website for $341+tax. Shipping was free. As is my habit, I printed out the order and screen shot of the item's page. The next day I received the following email:

"Thank you for your order. The price of the sculpture has changed as per manufacturer's requirement. We are not allowed to retail this item at the price you paid. Please submit another order so that we can process this and ship it for you."

The new price was $499, $150 more! The email's author indicated that the item would be drop shipped, thus the higher charge.
When I protested that the additional charge should have been indicated at check-out and they shouldn't be able to do this, I got the following:

We did not do anything wrong here and you cannot get this sculpture so cheap anymore. We can’t do anything if the manufacturer does not want to keep to the old price.
Please note that the order is canceled. You cannot expect us to ship this sculpture and make a loss. We still kept it $50 cheaper for you just in case you want it. The going price as set by the manufacturer is now $550 each. We will go ahead and set the price accordingly.

Yikes!

This site lists no telephone number. It has an email link and a fax number for contact. I emailed through the link on follow-up on my order. I also emailed directly through my email account. All I requested was a delivery date. Two weeks later, they have not responded. Judging from the other complaint, the item will not be shipped. I emailed one last time to cancel my order. This company as another site: http://www.accents.com. Don't waste your time on either.

I contacted My Garden Gifts and asked “if I ordered an item that day, would I get it by Christmas?” I was told YES (it was about 3 weeks prior to Christmas). I placed my order, Christmas has passed and I’ve yet to receive my item. It WAS a Christmas gift. Not only is this VERY disappointing, but I see it on eBay for half the price. And to top this off, I see that the Better Business Bureau gives My Garden Gifts an F rating. With all this said, I would look elsewhere to spend your money.
