I placed a better than $330 order (#19068) on 08-07-2011, on 08-08-2011 I received an email stating the order had been shipped. It is now 08-19-2011 and USPS still has not indicated they have received the package from the shipper ( KT Botanicals LLC). I have sent multiple requests pertaining to the whereabouts of this order and the only response I have received from Tyler at KTBotanicals.com was that "I know this package has left" and "will be taking a closer look". A reputable website doesn't use a site listed email to conduct business transactions as spammers use spiders to crawl the web and search for emails meaning that KTBotanicals@aol.com ( a free email address) must be constantly swamped with spam. Most reputable web sites will use an email address like sales@xxxxxxx.com or customerservice@xxxxxxx.com.

I believe this thread was started by operators of KT Botanicals. If you google KTBotanicals,
"The Scoop on KT Botanicals" is listed as the 2nd web site. It does NOT say "The Scoop on KTBotanicals.com" Meaning that who ever started this thread knew that "KT" should be separate from "Botanicals", now most anybody who wanted to start a reputation thread on a web site or a company would most definitely use the name for which they are the most popular (KTbotanicals.com) not the registered business name (KT Botanicals) KTBotanicals is active on many numerous forums which doesnt sit well with me. Also these 1 review posters are too numerous and sound way over hyped for your average Kratom purchase.
I am a Top Rated Power Seller on a popular site meaning that I have 100% positive feedback AND I'm a power seller. I have a USPS account and ship many items on a daily basis using the same 2-3 day priority shipping that KT Botanicals stated it used for my shipment and I NEVER have EVER had ANY kind of problems with USPS taking 12 days to indicate receipt of a package that I had shipped through them. Quite the opposite, they nearly ALWAYS indicate receipt within 24 hours usually much less than that. These people seem to be quite dishonest as on their website it doesn't list any products as OUT OF STOCK, yet if you read the FAQ it states that if it is then it may take an even more considerable amount of time to receive your order. If this is the case then the items should be marked as OUT OF STOCK on the site and claiming that a customer will receive their order in 2-10 business days is a FLAT OUT LIE. Also this company has among the WORST customer service I have experienced in 15 years of internet purchases. I would NEVER EVER EVER choose to do business with a company like this ever again. I have requested a refund but have been ignored probably due to the fact that ktbotanicals@aol.com probably get 200 or better spam emails everyday.

This company did not try to scam or defraud me. Travis from KT Botanicals contacted me today and fixed the problem with my order. Not only did they re-ship my package but they shipped the new order overnight and totally free of charge while refunding the total cost of my order as well. Boy, I couldn't have been wrong about these guys. I am so sorry. KT Botanicals, I want to thank you for taking the time to straighten everything out. I wish I could delete my post about this company as I feel I have done some damage to the reputation of this company by making my complaint in haste. Please forgive me KT Botanicals, I know we can enjoy many years of continued business with each other. Thank you Travis and Tyler.

Most impressive was the response time with their customer service. I was kinda curious about not receiving a order confirmation or tracking number. So I checked my account info and sure enough it was a user error, haha. By the time I sent the first email and finished fixing my account info, Travis had already emailed me the tracking number! Also my package was already at my PO! Much faster customer service than I'm used to and much faster shipping!

Shipping has never taken more than a week. I've noticed that the larger the package is, the longer it gets delayed. For example, a package containing 114g of Kratom and 100g of Piracetam took about 4 days to arrive on my doorstep while a package containing a pound of Mulungu took 6 days( ordered on Sunday, there on Saturday)

This company has made a loyal customer out of me with their great products, decent prices, quick shipping, and customer service( never takes more than 24 hours)

In the meantime, my credit card was charged the full amount of the order, including the items that were not in stock, on July 18. Other online companies I have ordered from do not usually charge my credit card for items that are out of stock and only do so once the items are available to be shipped. I am hoping to get some results through this forum. Otherwise, I have no choice but to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge.

The day after my negative rating and comments, I received a call from Travis, their Operations Manager, who admitted that my order had indeed fallen through the cracks, apologized profusely and said that they would send the package as expeditiously as possible, including a bonus pack of one of the items I ordered. He also promised me a discount on future orders. The package has arrived, my credit card account has been refunded the amount for the out-of-stock item, I am very pleased with the quality of what I received and I am changing my rating to positive.

While their product list was large and the shipping was prompt the product was not as advertised. When I purchase something as "foliage" by definition that would mean "leaves". My order of Machona Brava arrived as a bag of sticks. The Indian Warrior (buds only) were actual buds. Unfortunately those buds were covered in while fuzz not seen in the advertised picture and I can only assume to be mold.

Sadly it was only their offering of those two hard to find products that convinced me to purchase from them.

Less than an hour of leaving my concerns here I was contacted first by email then by phone. They were very helpful in addressing my concerns. It turns out what I had feared to be mold was infact the products natural appearance and they were more than willing to make accommodations for the zornia which they agreed wasn't up to their usual standards.

I am a first time customer with KT and have experienced a lack of customer service with them so far. I placed an order on 6/12 and received a shipping confirmation on 6/14 without a tracking number. So I emailed them on 6/18 just asking for a tracking number but no response. So I sent another email and still no response. Gave them a call yesterday and left a message,no response. The only thing I have an idea about is that they already credited me with a quick response. Hoping this will get a response from them.

That said, he spent some time talking with me. He SUGGESTED: A full refund. A reshipment via ups 3 day select, and imparted some homeopathic wisdom to me.

End result, As of 4-06-11 I had all my money back. As of 4-7-11, I had everything I ordered. He also included a sample from his wares, and a recommendation on some websites where I could do some research on other products. The recommendation proved invaluable. I wish that he had of gotten things right first. He did go above and beyond to repair the situation.

In the end, he was above pay grade in delivery and time spent. A priceless source of information. A treasure in personality. Get your stuff in a tighter formation Travis. Your energies are best used getting it correct the first time. His mom did a good job. In the end, I will be back and order again and again. I'm not concerned at all about reordering. Give em a try, but bust him if it aint right.

All of that said, Please DO try them. If you hit a snag in the road, be proactive and email, call, do whatever you have to do. Sometimes, we have to do extra. All of us. None are exempt.

This would have been fine with me, but on January 11th I receive an email saying my wild dagga flowers are on back order, a full 6 days after placing the order.... Then to make matters worse I check the USPS tracking info today (today would be the day I should be receiving at least part of my shipment) I see that it has just now Processed through Sort Facility, January 11, 2011, 6:10 pm, WEST SACRAMENTO, CA 95799. Well that is interesting, four days after my item was supposedly shipped I find out it hasn't even left California. I am a patient person, but have no tolerance for inaccurate information regarding purchases that I have made. I have never had any package from any company take this long to ship an item. At least if they did; they would have had the gumption to be accurate about the delay and inform my promptly of a back order on a particular item. I want to like this company, but just haven't really gotten a professional vibe yet.

Today I decided to do a little more research on them and stumbled upon Dave's. I then learned that it is simply a notification of processing. Nothing was hurt except for my anticipation I suppose. Although I must say, this seems like it causes much confusion for customers but would have a simple solution: don't e-mail the delivery notification unless it has actually left the building ;)
I am, however, very impressed with what looks like their responses to remedy any problems, and upon reading some took it upon myself to actually read their FAQ! It explicitly addresses every negative topic on Dave's reviews here.
I am curious to see delivery time (to Minnesota) or if any problems occur with my shipment, if only to prove the haters wrong. I am confident from what I have seen that it will go smoothly.

I wouldn't make something up just for the discount (but this might explain multiple reviews from the 'same' person with a different nickname). I wouldn't bother with this unless I liked them & planned to use them again.

So I studied the somewhat sarcastic and well prepared FAQ page, even read until it was suggested that one who hadn't read thus far should raise their hand and commence to slapping themselves (which did make me chuckle), what didn't make me chuckle was the fact that I've been patiently waiting for my order to be completed for the past 5 months. I've been waiting since 6/30/10 for 10lbs of Marshmallow leaf. I read their big red letters informing everybody that they will not communicate on this topic.

Their reasoning is this as quoted from their page,

We are now shipping all pre-orders placed from July 31st - September 15th! Future Shipments will cover pre-orders from September 15th onwards. If you notice my order was placed before the dates listed and I have yet to receive any Marshmallow Leaf. If I cancel then I get charged 15%. Good Luck getting Marshmallow Leaf from these people, as far as I can tell it's a racket to acrue 15% commissions from those who attempt to buy. I considered phoning KT Botanicals until their FAQ page informed my that their phone number was basically a filter for future orders and a requirement for using credit cards, so I sent them an e-mail.

To be fair I'm waiting for a response, but to insure I get a response I'm contesting the charge through Discover and posting here. KT Botanicals writes in their FAQ " We will charge your card for no more than the authorization amount after we can verify the receipt of your package. Therefore, we charge your card anywhere from 2 to 14 days after your order has shipped. "
If this is true then I should not have been billed ($139.20) for the Marshmallow Leaf almost 6 months ago.

I was immediately contacted after posting my issue here, the representative was completely understanding and admitted the error. KT Botanicals went above and beyond the typical rectification that most retailers offer. They not only refunded my purchase and S/H charge, but because of the oddity surrounding my situation they offered a 30% inconvenience fee. I recently ordered 60.00 dollars worth of products from kt botanicals on the 17th of October. I live in Los Angeles only 3-4 hours away from their location. Two days after my order I received a confirmation number. It has been over a week now after receiving my confirmation number and my package has still not been shipped. I'm a very understanding person and emailed the company twice now politely asking for an update or estimate of when they plan on shipping the package. I have received no response. On their website they stated expect your package within 10 days from the order, and even sooner if you live close by. I'm starting to get a little skeptical now. I will definitely update as soon as I receive or decide to take any action :)

Apparently, the best way to contact this company is through this message board. I received a call from the company within 15 minutes of posting my disappointment.

I do not buy their reasoning. I received other plants in the mail this same week. I am an orchid grower and botanist who studied under Dr. Chin Chi Lin. I am familiar with what plants can take.
I ordered on 11/11 and stated in the "special instructions box" on their order form to "ignore the weather. Ship immediately. Email me if you can not."
(FAQ states that items ordered after 12/1 will be held until Spring)
They sent me an email stating my item was shipped when in fact, it was not. I took days off to wait for the mail. I was sorely disappointed.
This is the type of customer service I would expect from two kids operating a company out of their mother's garage.
My wife has also "banned" me from using this company.

Hey Dave's Garden, I wish I read all of these reports before I ordered from this company!

I got sucked into the same hole as a lot of you - waited over a week for my items to be shipped - and I'm currently getting the run-around. Dishonest at best. I live in Los Angeles and ordered simply because of the proximity. I hope nobody else makes that mistake.

I placed a small order (4 items/ ~$60) on the 2nd. The invoice on the website said "shipped on the 4th" (didn't even reach the post office until the 8th according to the tracking). I contacted him earlier about an order cancellation on the 6th, no response.

He has no problem responding timely when it comes to a purchase inquiry, but when it comes to following through or assisting problems, he is no where to be found.

Not having supplies that you claim to have (ie. items actually in stock) OR not being able to keep track of your inventory is one of the most unprofessional characteristics of any businessman. Even worse, using it as an excuse to a customer just irks me even more. Why should your problems be mine? Is it really that hard to be organized?

Like other comments below; I believe this company does not have actual stock, and simply drop ship orders as they get 'em.

Their products aren't bad, but it's clear that a SALE is more important to KT botanicals, than their customers' assurance and peace of mind.

After a couple months since my order, I did finally receive word from KT botanicals. The day that I posted this review my money was refunded, and they did contact me. They sent the lotus order without charge, and called me many times asking to take down the negative reviews.

I am very grateful the money was refunded, and the lotus was sent. However I was not happy about the many phone calls and the requests/demand to take down the negative reviews. I am a very busy person running a business and did not have the time right away to write update my negative reviews. This is part of the consequence of treating customers the way they did.

I am not sure if I had not written this (and a few other) negative reviews if my money would have been refunded, and the lotus sent.

I will not work with KT botanicals again, but I am very thankful they refunded the money, and sent the lotus free of charge which they did not have to do, and I realize this.

Tyler is one of those rare people in the ethnobotanical world who spends his time researching alternate means to help people.
