Rubbish company - avoid!!

I ordered some exterior LED Xmas lights from their website and sat back and waited for their arrival.

After waiting for over a week, I realised that I had not received any acknowledgment from this company for my order and no goods had been delivered either!

I phoned the company and got through to a "customer service" assistant (sic) who, upon checking my order number, could not find out what had happened to my order and took my mobile phone number and informed me he would ring back shortly.

The gentleman rang me back and informed me that the goods were no longer available, even though they were advertised on the website!

When I asked what other equivalent lights were available I was informed there were no other similar lights and was asked whether I would like something else for the same value!!

I off course refused and told him to cancel the order and ensure that my credit card payment was stopped - just to be sure, I have contacted my credit card company and warned them about this transaction with this dubious company.

BE CAREFUL - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED......

BAD, BAD, BAD!
I made an order with gardens and homes direct, delivery was good, but I was not delivered what was advertised, or indeed what I was invoiced for. In contact with the company they first admitted they had now changed the advert, then later denied it.
I hoped to resolve the issue, but during correspondence I was treated so rudely (even blamed for ordering the wrong item, despite having an invoice to prove otherwise) and was given no option to do anything other than return the item for a refund.
I often purchase using the internet and have never had any bad experiences, but I would never go near gardens and homes direct.

I wouldn't recommend using this company.

I ordered two deckchairs from Gardens and Homes Direct as they were good value but unfortunately I didn't read the small print of the delivery policy.

The company refuses to give you a delivery date and when they turn up with the goods and surprise surprise you aren't at home you have two working days to turn up at a remote warehouse (during working hours).

Clearly this is impractical for most people so the goods are returned. If you then wish to arrange a redelivery it will cost you an extra £4 but again you remain completely unaware of when to stay at home. If you wish to cancel the order it costs you £15 which was what I had to do.

What is even more galling is that the delivery company don't make an effort to see if you are at home. By chance, my lodger was actually sitting at home about 15ft from the front door when the delivery note was put through the door. They didn't knock or ring the bell.

If you wish to use this company make sure you can be at home from 8am - 6pm watching the front door for the following two weeks or alternatively just pay them £15.
