However the company has changed hands and no longer knows how to ship water plants. My order arrived in only 2 days, but neither water plant was sent dampened nor with any water. Both were dried out and crumbling to dust. The owner has not responded to my concerns at all. I am very sad to lose a previously good source for pond plants, but TWL is no longer an acceptable source. |
Negative | Fallbrookguy (19 reviews) | On Jun 2, 2021, Fallbrookguy Fallbrook, CA wrote: I've purchased from this company several times over the years and was always happy with my purchases.......until now. I just received my latest order and can not believe how tiny the plants were. The waterlilies they sent me are in no way suitable to be planted out and will have to be grown on for months until they are large enough to be introduced into my pond. Very, very disappointed! |
Negative | gingram (1 review) | On May 5, 2020, gingram Ruston, LA wrote: Something has happened to this business, and it's not good. I ordered from it for years and got big healthy plants in early April that bloomed from May to October. For the past three years, I have gotten plants that have few roots, are much smaller (but same price as previously), and that sometimes do not bloom at all. The lilies that arrived last week at my place in North Louisiana are ridiculous. Service is good: lilies arrive as promised and are packaged properly. The product is just third-rate. A waste. I complained, to no purpose. |
Negative | piepiper (1 review) | On Mar 30, 2017, piepiper Magnolia, TX wrote: We bought 2 tropical water lilies from them last year. Both rhizomes were the size of a walnut at best. We were shocked that we paid that kind of money for rhizomes that small. (total cost about $50+) We figured if we babied them the entire summer we could make something of them. Neither of them grew or survived. Very disappointed. |

They have excellent prices and better still fantastic plants. I've ordered from them ever since my first order. Fast deliveries and good customer service. What more could you want. |
Positive | Woundgal (1 review) | On Jul 12, 2013, Woundgal Green Valley, MD wrote: I ordered 2 night bloomers from this company, since our winter went way to long I had requested that the plants be sent later, well they sent them too early and they did not do well. The company is awesome they reshipped, no questions asked. The lilies came with healthy root system, large leaves and healthy early buds and no algae, they are currently prolific bloomers in my pond. I love this company. You can't beat the prices and it is a small company and their customer service rocks |

Positive | jacobsjd (4 reviews) | On Apr 8, 2012, jacobsjd Orlando, FL wrote: Ordered an Emerald Daybreak lotus from TWL a month or so ago. I had a lotus a few years ago from another company, which did not live, but not due to there be anything wrong with the root, but rather my not locating it correctly. That said, the one from TWL was far larger and impressive. It is already making great growth in its new home. And, I've just realized they have a lot of other really cool plants.... |

Makes sense since some people have greenhouses. Just be aware in case you live in the great white north, otherwise you will be scrambling to figure out what to do with these gorgeous plants. |

Positive | dahos77 (1 review) | On Apr 14, 2011, dahos77 Aiea, HI (Zone 11) wrote: Overall they are very good. I have ordered from them 3 times for a total of about 20 plants and they came in a timely fashion and were packaged well. Shipping cost is reasonable, especially given that most places charge an arm and a leg to Hawaii. There was a mistake in the order (a plant was missing, and one was the wrong plant) and corrections were promptly made. They have excellent customer service and do their absolute best to ensure that you are happy. Will purchase from them again. Hope that they will add more water lily varieties. |

I get wonderful lilies, and the water plants are in big bunches and very healthy. Prices are wonderful and the shipping is way wonderful. I live where vendors by mail use postage as another profit center, so when a vendor treats his customers as individuals and with honesty, I am a dedicated customer. |

I just got her in the last several days and planted her per your instructions. I already have two new pads emerging and a flower is trying to open. I think it will open up by tomorrow and the blue color is just stunning. I was also very impressed how the water lily was shipped!! I will definitely do business with you again and thanks so much. |

Positive | mothermole (2 reviews) | On Jun 5, 2010, mothermole Deer Park, IL (Zone 5b) wrote: I have placed an order every year for the past 3 years and each time the plants were delivered on time (lotus early the rest later for my zone) and healthy with many, MANY growing tips. One year my new puppy kept eating my lotus tubers and ruined them all and I casually mentioned it to Dusty wanting to know why my puppy was so attracted to risk getting hurt by climbing in this fenced in area and Dusty surprised me and sent me some free lotus tubers out of the blue, unexpectedly to replace the tubers my puppy devoured. What a nice surprise. "They had me as a lifetime customer after that . . ." |

They are the nicest people to deal with and their plants are always tops. When I was unhappy with one plant my money was promptly refunded, no questions asked. This is the kind of business I like supporting and I will buy plants from them again. |

Most everything I ordered was tropical, so they were gracious to hold my order until time was safe. I received my lilies and lotus in excellent condition. All were wet and huge specimens. Within 2 days, 2 of the water lilies bloomed and another had 3 buds on it. I'd like to say that you can't find better prices for what you get from these people. I look forward to buying from them again and again. |
Positive | no_regrets (7 reviews) | On Mar 17, 2008, no_regrets San Diego, CA wrote: I ordered some hardy water lilies and various marginals last summer. texaswaterlilies.com had good ratings and seemed to have some of the most reasonable prices around. Even though the website wasn't the most comprehensive, there was enough information to do some research on the plants, and I placed my order. I had never ordered water plants online before, so had no idea to expect, and to be honest was a little shocked when I got gallon-size baggies of... something. But, I had been warned that water plants don't look like much when they're out of water, so off I went to plant away. |

There is no way this transaction could have been any better. I will definitely be ordering from Texas Water Lilies again! |

My mother got her "Mother's Day gift" Thursday after I ordered the plants Monday afternoon. The turn around time on my order was extremely fast! She was quite pleased with the plants. She loved that the Tina Lily had several buds on it. She told me the quality and quantity of the plants were exceptional! She received a few extra plants of the lillies I ordered and an additional plant of the Burgandy Princess as a bonus. I will be buying from you again and referring you to others! Thanks again! |

Positive | richard1 (1 review) | On Apr 4, 2007, richard1 Ashland, VA wrote: Texas Water Lilies was a thoughtful partner and a tremendous help when I needed information and lilies for our high school's water garden. The lilies were a good size and healthy; they even had branching, some with up to two feet of growth already started. One water lily named Lemon Mist had a solf yellow bud which was so beautiful my students were ready to plant immediately. Thank you very much does not begin to cover the generosity and expertise we were offered. |
Positive | tetleytuna (2 reviews) | On Mar 31, 2007, tetleytuna Columbia, MO (Zone 5b) wrote: I have very seldom ordered online for anything but after seeing all of the positive feedback I took a chance on Texas Waterlilies. It took about two weeks for the order to be filled, but what an order I received. I ordered 3 marginals, 3 lotus, 3 hardy lilies and 3 tropical lilies. They came to me in great shape and several had flower buds on them. Two of the lotus seemed to have multiple growing tips and were very healthy and fat. The only concern that I had was that the water clover I ordered was not pictured correctly on the website and I got one that I really did not want instead of the one I thought I was ordering. I called the company and had a very pleasant conversation with the person working there and they are sending me the one that I wanted free of charge! I would definately order from them again. |

Positive | beckygardener (1 review) | On Feb 24, 2007, beckygardener (Becky) in Sebastian, FL (Zone 10a) wrote: I ordered seed pods for the Momo Botan Lotus and they very kindly and generously added a small root/tuber cutting as well. Which was very nice. I was to get 2 seed pods for very reasonable, but instead received 4 pods. It looks like I may have at least 13 seeds that might possibly germinate. I know that Lotus plants do not come true to the mother plant from seed. So I do not know what the seedlings will germinate as, but that was what I ordered and look forward to growing them for the mystery and surprise! On July 3rd, 2007, beckygardener added the following: I ordered 4 water lilies from a DG coop and was VERY pleased! The prices were awesome (wholesale) and the plants were nice sized and mine even had blooms on them! They arrived within just a couple of days and it was a very smooth transaction! Thanks to Jessie and Dusty for such great service and plants!!! |
Positive | tumaszjh (1 review) | On Oct 11, 2006, tumaszjh Medford, NJ wrote: The folks at Dave's garden gave me so much information on my existing Lotus Water Plants that I was amazed that they took the time and told me how to winterize the plants and how to start tubers from the seedlings in the pods. They offered to refund my money or to put me at the top of the list for a Februrary or March delivery, |
