The owners are very knowledgeable but the staff does not travel extensively as one writer said. But having said that, some of the staff are quite knowledgeable also.
The owner tends to have a rather smug attitude at times which can be very annoying but one must defer to him since he really knows plants and to some degree has earned the right to be smug.
The one problem here, and it is a big one, is that they do not have a return policy on any of their plants, even if they fail shortly after purchase. This is contrary to most nurseries in the country and is reason enough to shop elsewhere.

Over 200 references on the Net seem to confirm that the place exists most complete with name, address and telephone, but there's no reference to a website. Maybe linking back to Watchdog is the default when there's no site. Try calling....

The link does not connect to the Aqua Fria Nursery. So I cannot find its homepage. I have looked elsewhere as well. Are they still in business?

I live in Santa Fe and know the owner Bob Pennington. This is a small, family owned business. Their service is personal, but their catalog is frequently out of date and one is advised to call before assuming they are still taking mail order.
